As part of our plans for exchange of research and preparations for our upcoming international conference in Lahore (scheduled for Nov. 2nd - 4th, 2013), the NIHU Program for Islamic Area Studies will present open lectures by two researchers from the Lahore University of Management Sciences. The lectures will focus on the politics and culture of Pakistan, and will be presented at Waseda and Kyoto Universities as detailed below. We realize this is a sudden announcement at the busy end of the school year, but since these are open lectures (free of charge / no reservations required), we do sincerely hope you’ll find time in your busy schedules to join us for these special events.
