This project research institute aims to conduct a comparative study on the current situation and factors of the symbiosis of Muslim minority and non-Muslim majority in Asia, with a focus on East Asian countries including Japan, as well as the countries of Southeast Asia.

Institute for Asian Muslim Studies, Waseda University, would be glad to invite Muslim students at Waseda to a tea meeting (with Halal sweets) to be held between 14:30 and 16:00 in meeting room #302, Bldg. 26 on April 19 (Fri). This tea meeting is designed for the informal exchange of information among Muslim students at Waseda and with faculty members affiliated with Islamic area studies. We would also like to invite interested non-Muslim students and faculty and staff members at Waseda. You can drop by at any time during the 90-minutes’ period.
