The "Understanding Islam" series (in Japanese), published by Yamakawa Shuppansha, provides an introduction to Islamic Area Studies. Leading scholars that have joined us for Islamic Area Studies joint research projects provide easy-to-follow explanations of their findings for students and the general public.
Annotated Translation Series (in Japanese) provides Japanese translations of major works by Muslim authors, including both classics and modern writings. We hope these will help Japanese readers to understand Islam and Muslim societies from a Muslim’s perspective.
