This is a program for the formation of a research network that is
the basis of all research activities that the OAS promotes and
supports, including collaborated research, studies and academic
exchange between Japanese and overseas researchers and research
institutions. As a catalyst of information on research activities, the
program will also hold Asia seminars and Asia symposiums.

The hosting, co-hosting, and sponsoring of open symposiums with prominent scholars of Asia from Japan and abroad.
It aims at the creation of an intellectual base for "Next generation young man researcher".
This journal addresses a variety of issues including the diversity,
difficulty, and necessity of Asian studies from a scholarly
perspective, and is aimed at the general reader.
